The HP StorageWorks 2012sa Modular Smart Array 3Gb SAS BL Switch Bundle (AP716A) offers scalable, affordable, shared SAS storage for Enterprise and SMB c-Class BladeSystem customers.
The MSA2012sa arrays offer a choice of drives: high performance enterprise class SAS drives and low cost, high capacity archival class SATA. Each model comes standard with twelve drive bays able to simultaneously accommodate 3.5-inch dual-ported SAS drives and SATA drives.
The 3Gb SAS Switch is a single wide interconnect module that enables each server blade with a Smart Array P700m controller card to communicate with the HP StorageWorks 2000sa Modular Smart Array.

Note: Mini-SAS cables are needed to connect MSA2000sa to an HBA and Meter SAS cables are needed for additional Drive Enclosures where Standard .6 meter is not sufficient length.
